For my whole life, He’s held my hand and my heart. My father is a legend, a hero of epic proportions; the kind of man who changed history and influenced other leaders to follow their hearts. The life of the party, the biggest presence in the room, who always told the best jokes. To me, he’s Daddy…the one who believed in me, encouraged me, supported me and never gave up. At 94, He’s still actively parenting and I seek his advice. Aren’t I lucky, and don’t I know it? Happy Fathers Day Pops with love , respect and appreciation.

She’s also funny and whip smart. Years ago Rona and I connected over our joint desire to support seniors and provide for their needs. Now, in addition to her TV/reporting/producing dominance, since the 90’s , she has secured her legacy in the Santa Ynez Valley through her foundation which built beautiful housing for underserved seniors at Golden Inn & Village. Vision, grit and a heart to help have propelled her forward. She’s still fit and feisty with her signature hair-do! I waited til the end of the day to post this , because at the end of the day, a father shows up. My kids are lucky. A father is a guiding light and their path is well- lit by their father of origin and their stepdad, Steven, who has shown up for all of it, for all of us, from the beginning.
