Lena Klenke Instagram – FYI Ps: finally put together a some 𝒮𝓊𝓂𝓂𝑒𝓇 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝒹𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓇𝑒𝒸𝒸𝓈 ⛱️ Lisa Taddeo-Animals // I already read this last year but I keep recommending it. Full of dark twists and weird moments, sometimes even brutal but you still can’t stop. This was her debut novel after her first non fiction book “three women”. Emma Cline-The Guest // I’m a huge fan of her ever since her debut “the girls” which I read as a teenager.I also loved her short story collection “daddy” and I was so happy when I saw she finally wrote a novel again. From page 1 you’re sucked into the life of Alex, who’s pretending to be someone she’s not and sneaks her way through a summer in Long Island.I wish it would’ve been longer… Jen Beagin -Big Swiss // this one overwhelmed me.Not only is the writing style so special, from dialogues to deep insides of the main character.Every page kept surprising me.Also some beautiful views on womanhood, therapy and trauma while still being super funny. 3 short story collections Saba Sams-Send Nudes // basically picked this up because of the cover and interest in the author, who is only 26 years old and already has such a strong, personal voice. The stories went deep, some I liked better than others but overall it’s such a refreshing illustration of the times we live in.perfect beach company David Sedaris-Calypso // a classic, never fails- short and sweet Raven Smith-Trivial Pursuits // was very looking forward to this since I love his humor and opinions on any cultural happenings.It’s his first book so I feel like he was still testing how his voice works in longer texts, it’s very personal and gets you curious to see what will follow. 2 books I read in German Sebastian Hotz – mindset// 10/10, funny, quick, smart.This is the perfect gift for everyone who really wants to start reading again but can’t focus too long or is easily distracted.Believe you’ll be so entertained, it’s over before you notice Andrea Abreu- so forsch, so furchtlos // powerful and raw language about childhood friendship that is so well described you see these girls directly in front of you 2 of my fav magazines Pps: support your local book dealer 🙏🏼
