Lilan Bowden Instagram – WRITER’S STRIKE: We are #wgastrong !! The Writer’s Guild of America is on strike for FAIR WAGES and streaming protections and this is important because without writers, there would be no stories, and there would be no jobs for the people who tell these stories. As an actor and director, I stand with the WGA because I know how valuable their livelihood is to mine and to all of us who enjoy TV and film content. This first picture is of me and @dionareasonover , who without her writing I wouldn’t have had a job on NCIS. The next pic is of me and WGA Strike Captain/writer on Abbott Elemetary, @bishilarious . Follow her here and on Twitter cause she’s a 100% badass and a political leader for all things good. Many TV writers cannot afford to make rent even after writing on hit TV shows. The demands of writers are simple and fair: profit sharing and transparency for streaming, a fair number of writers in rooms, to not be replaced by AI, are some. The entire collective of writers are asking for a total of 2% of studio profits to be shared to be able to make a living. I think this is: very reasonable!!
