I would start singing a beautiful melody that he had composed and stop in the middle and he would correct it till I got it right. He is 85 years old today and doesn’t eat his food till he does his riyaz. I am so grateful to have learnt music from him and my other Gurujis Madhutai and Seetatai. Before I became an actor I always wanted to be a singer, but destiny clearly had other plans. Having said that, music plays a very important role in my life and is as important as breathing.
