Numa Perrier Instagram – next up. NYC 🙌🏿 the films I’ve created have been largely about reconnecting a fragmented history. I’m an Haitian immigrant via adoption and the family that raised me gave me a heightened sense of the world around me. Besides my older sister I had no women who looked or felt like me to shape my sense of identity. As an artist I’m continually carving & combing through this while examining memory, trauma, and the coping skill of humor. December 10, 7pm presented by The Flaherty -@anthologyfilmarchives will screen 4 of my short films and an excerpt from my feature debut Jezebel. I’m very happy that curator @dahsawn has included me and is amplifying my voice via an institution I’ve long admired @theflaherty. following the screening I’ll be in conversation with @capontepearson who cares so deeply about these subjects – we gonna go deep in the Q A. 👀 Come on out. Monday December 10th. 7pm. $12 tix at the door. Anthology Archives Theatre 32 2nd Avenue NYC. | Posted on 27/Nov/2018 04:14:33
