Our family is growing! Little girl joining us in December 🤍
First Trimester Diaries #1
Just want to preface this mini series by saying that everyone will experience a completely different first trimester, some will breeze through, some will be hospitalised & on the whole, my first trimester went well but I certainly struggled. I know that people have it much worse but wanted to share my experience to offer any reassurance to anyone who might need it!
Now it’s no secret that as an emetophobe, the first trimester with Ottie was the most challenging part of the entire pregnancy, birth and beyond for me. Although I was never physically sick with Ottie (I think I’m good at stopping myself which I’ve heard is common amongst those with this phobia) I had constant nausea & I just didn’t know if this pregnancy would be the same.
I thought it would be good to share some of my camera roll over the past few months and really dive into my first trimester second time around. It can feel extremely lonely, you feel like you’re existing in someone else’s body and the anxiety can be on another level. I’ll be filming a much more in depth video about the first trimester on YouTube over the coming weeks, but for a brief overview, look no further 😅
1. My mum delivered me the best assortment of biscuits ever. During the earlier weeks, biscuits were all I wanted to eat!
2. Sense of smell went off the scale between weeks 5 & 8 (and then actually levelled out) worst smells? Mushrooms, an omelette or hot oil in a pan.
3. I thought Sprite, Chewing gum & strawberries would be my saviour again this pregnancy (turns out they weren’t). Hello emet bracelet. This is the tidiest my bedside table looked…
4. Cheerios in bed with Ottie & Mr Tumble
5. Sour sweets helped the nausea a bit
6. Dysgusia kicked in and I had forgotten how horrible it was to have a constant sour taste in your mouth when you feel so sick
7. Headaches and spots!
8. Realisation that these birthday nails weren’t going anywhere soon (stay tuned for progress haha)
9. Pretzels and a masterchef obsession! Wanted to watch all the food but couldn’t eat it. ZERO appetite.
10. Bloat bump!

Week 16 of the year! (How have we already done 16 weeks of 2023 😱)
1. New hair day featuring Otties current favourite toys that go everywhere with her. Firmly in her peppa pig era.
2. Can’t tell you how much joy it brings me to visit Mums and sit and do puzzles at the kitchen table whilst having a catch up ✨ puzzles are underrated.
3. Muddy walks
4. Splashing in all the puddles! Cream outfits was a bad idea…
5. Double rainbow 🌈🌈
6. Still thinking about these spicy beans from @flourpotbakery with Pops
7. Her new baby was my childhood nightmare but she is very fond of E.T 🥴
8. Little trip to @leonardsleegardens – spot the Ottie!
9. Family 🥰
10. Sitting down to admire the scenery! Such a beaut place!
Hope you’ve had a lovely week! What are some of the things you got up to?

Weekly highlights started off strong with a theatre trip & ended abruptly with some kind of flu 🥲 so not as much to share this week as photos from my bed wouldn’t have been so fun! 🤞🏼 it shifts soon!!
1. New little @arketofficial combo for Spring
2. Park trips
3. Went to see 2:22 A Ghost Story & was honestly SO impressed. I often forget that plays are a thing in the west end as a musicals fan but it’s made me want to book more! What plays have you seen recently that you loved?
4. Went with @markyyferris & @alfiedeyes ♥️
5. Ottie new favourite thing is to bang around on the keyboard!
6. Sneak peek at something exciting coming later in the year that I had a meeting for 👀
7. Pjs in the playroom ♥️
Hope you’ve had a lovely week 🙌🏼
