Teaser trailer for “Journey to Bethlehem”!! ***** It’s been almost ten years since @i_am_adamanders first told me about his idea for a fun, family original musical movie about the Christmas story. I loved it immediately and for the next 7 years, was constantly checking in with him (he may justifiably say annoying him) about what was going on with it. Then 4 years ago, after agreeing to make #aweekaway together, @swbarnett, @vickyp487 and I started Monarch Media. One of very first calls I made was to Adam to see where things were with this movie. He was kind enough to allow us to hop on this project and open enough to allow us to work with him on developing it and getting it ready for production. We just finished shooting in Spain in March and it hits theaters in November with @affirmfilms distributing! I’ll spare you any more boring details for now but just know that this movie has been on quite the journey to get to this moment of being able to share the first look! Hope you and your whole family love it.. it’s pretty special.
I just couldn’t be more proud of my oldest, AJ. Got up there and sang “For Good” with the incomparable @kchenoweth and did it like she’s done it a hundred times before. She has that rare gift of being able to use nerves in her performance instead of letting the nerves keep her from her performance. It’s rare. She loves the stage and the stage loves her back. Thank you so much to my friend, @kchenoweth for inviting her to sing with you.. was genuinely a moment AJ will never forget.. and I won’t either. #proudfather
With the love and support of so many wonderful humans, yesterday I stepped into a role I’ve never played before.. I had the privilege of directing for the first time. It was one of those feels like everything has lead to this moments. My time with my boys in @anthemlightsband gave me the opportunity to focus on making music. The films and tv shows I’ve been able to work on as an actor continues to teach me what it means to tell the story in front of the camera. And the projects I’ve been able to produce alongside my partners at Monarch have allowed me to learn storytelling from behind the camera. Putting all of those things together for the first time to try and guide a group of unbelievably talented artists creatively feels like home, I’m not gonna lie. Special thanks to my partners @swbarnett and @vickyp487 for supporting me and encouraging me to step into this role. Thank you @adamwattsmusic for being the best music partner in the world. Your talent overwhelms me and is matched only by your genuine kindness as a human. My man @paulbecker_official for being willing to come back to the sandbox and create visuals that are unbelievable. And @jameskingversion, your calming presence and impeccable visual taste are like a warm blanket. And your one-liners should be t-shirts. @georgekosturos and @thereal_hopek – you guys are rockstars and some of the best get it done producers a guy could ask for. @whereiskalibailey for being willing to continue to dive into this story with me on the writing side and always pushing to make it as good as it can be. And to my rock, my girl, my favorite thing in the whole world.. @bryciemarie — I love you baby. You’re the best partner I could literally ever ask for and I do it all for you.. and our babies. And yes.. if you’re still reading and if you noticed the Easter egg.. we are continuing the #aweekaway story. 🙂 Means the world to us that you guys liked the first movie enough to keep asking for more.. so.. let’s do it. It’s gonna be great! And as you can see, God might e been smiling on us at least a little. 🙂

Monarch Media turned 4 today! This was the first picture we ever took together once we launched. We’ve made 5 movies and a docuseries. That is a pretty productive 4 years! But we are just getting started 🙂 Thank you @swbarnett and @vickyp487 for genuinely being the best partners I could ask for… wouldn’t want to be on the ride with anyone else.
