Seven years have passed since Charles Johnson lost his wife Kira, hours after giving birth to their youngest son Langston. Now he’s wearing many hats including dad, activist and founder. @4kira4moms, the non-profit Johnson started is pushing to educate, advocate, and assist moms through the their pregnancies, and dads who, like Johnson, are raising their children without their moms. Black women are theee times more likely to die from childbirth than white women in America according to the CDC. The numbers are alarming. Johnson is doing something about that.
