Chris Smalls Instagram – On Saturday, June 24, community organizations including For Us Not Amazon and the Amazon Labor Union will join Poushawn Brown’s family in front of Jeff Bezos’ DC mansion to demand justice for Poushawn and her family. Poushawn Brown was an Amazon worker from Virginia who died in January 2021 after being assigned to test other Amazon workers for COVID without medical training or protective equipment. Tina Brown, Poushawn’s sister and also a former Amazon employee, will be sharing updates about ongoing legal actions relevant to Poushawn’s case. Speakers will be available for questions and following the press event, attendees will be flyering the community to share about Poushawn’s case. This action comes amidst Amazon workers organizing, demanding safe working conditions and union recognition, leading to investigations into Amazon’s harmful practices.
