Jansen, I can’t believe I’m even writing this.. we just were talking last week.. You were one of my childhood best friends. I truly got to grow up with you. As an artist you always inspired me. You had the ability to make people feel so loved, special, and important, in a unique and personal way. And always somehow, right when they needed it. Something else I admired about you.. the way you would bring people back to reality, ego checking your friends and family. You wouldn’t do it in a mean way. You always brought a sense of sarcasm, and wit, but you never made anyone feel bad about themselves. And you walked away with a laugh, and a new perspective that was filled with humility. You were such a loving boy, and a loving young man. I know all you ever wanted was peace. And I know you’ve found that now… Admittedly.. the human in me selfishly wants to hug you, poke fun at how dumb we were as teenagers. Dream and talk about our ideas of the future. Shoot the shits as brothers do…As painful as it is to acknowledge, my spirit and higher self knows, you have ultimate peace..
And I will try my best to focus on that, and celebrate you from down here. I love you Jansen. You, are so special.
