Michael Jai White Instagram – Strangers stop us everyday and tell us how we inspire them. Though it’s not in my comfort zone, I recognize my responsibility to share when I can and not remain silent. Pain screams while happiness tends to stay silent and content. To shout how happy you are from the mountain top sometimes returns with an echo to STFU. I have reached happiness that has exceeded my dreams and It’s not fun to subject myself to haters and those who think I’m boasting, but to hell with them when folks who “get it” know and appreciate where it’s coming from and thank me for doing so. It all starts with YOU, and the honest work you do on yourself. I knew Gillian was a better person than me and I had to become the man that deserved her or I’d sabotage everything. As a result, I became the best me I could be- a man that she’d be a fool to be without but it started with my self work. We have to look at ourselves as objectively as we can, embrace our flaws; (ego, stubbornness, excuses, trauma etc) and work hard to correct them so we don’t bring poison into the relationship. If you ain’t ready, you’re not ready to be good for someone else. Loving the right person wholeheartedly is ironically self-serving! When no one else on the planet could possibly love them better, they are free to love you back just as hard. What results is something that is impenetrable and irreplaceable. There isn’t an inch of real estate in my heart for another woman, not a fantasy or reminiscence. Nothing I’ve ever had or would ever experience could come close to what I have right now.
