Nirmal Purja Instagram – Introducing @christine_vogondy who first climbed #Manaslu with us on a tough season and was one of the very few to summit that year. Fast forward to now and she is already smashing it alongside myself, and @EliteExped, helping her #Achieveyournewpossible! Christine battled food poisoning this year when starting the Pakistan Big 5, and took double the time to get to Camp 2 on Nangaparbat but she didn’t give up. She managed to recover at Camp 2 before making the summit push. I was super impressed by her sheer determination and resilience as she cracked on and made the summit happen! She is a world-record breaker in her own right, having been part of our team, including @anyatravler, @tejan.g, myself and amazing Elite Exped Sherpa team guides that climbed all of the Big 5 mountains in Pakistan in 26 days, ( the team are part of the new world record for climbing with oxygen, even beating Kristin Harila’s impressive time of 30 days to do the 5. I climbed without oxygen.) she was also part of the group that climbed K2 ( on 28th) that did it in just over 35 hours. Just 15 minutes behind Anna’s group. Amazing to see so many people smashing records and achieving their dreams! Christine is becoming a new superwoman of the mountains who’s smashed six of the 8,000ers and we look forward to helping her on the other 8,000m peaks. Nirmal Purja Instagram – Huge congratulations to our world record breaking climber @anyatraveler Who has trusted Elite Exped and Nimsdai to help her achieve her new possible! Anna is super strong and determined. This force of nature has already done 11 of the 14 Peaks in less than 7 months. Such a positive person with a great energy that inspires others. And she also helped @nimsdai_foundation with a lovely donation to help the Khumjung Secondary School. She climbed the Everest – Lhotse traverse in less than 24 hours, climbed all of the Big 5 mountains in Pakistan in 26 days (a new world record for climbing with oxygen, even beating Kristin Harila’s impressive time of 30 days to do the 5,) and she and her @guideyukta summitted K2 in 35 hours (another world record set!)
