Fire started on a Monday.
It was all you can dream of:
A flame in mid-July, a heartwarming dazzle
Of colosal depth
A shape containing fury, the kind
Whispering wisdom through grinding teeth
And blazing looks.
Earth crumbles beneath our feet
Deconstructing your confort zone
Taking away any trace of fear you’ve got left in your veins.
It loves you wild, allows you to grow wings
Green, pink and smiles
When time and time again
You leave behind a part of you not serving
The one purpose you can no longer deny.
My lungs fill with Air.
It’s soft, pushing through dirt, colliding strongly
With the past
Songs of sadness pierce through memory like needles
Intention mixed with prowess mixed with rain
Leaving us present again.
The great Water rises
Conscious, clear, casting spells of futures unseen
Connecting dots between
Darkness and Light
Prepared to sacrifice so you can now
Survive.
