For the ongoing countdown to Stray Gods this week, on Awesome August Day 8 I am celebrating my love of Mythology. Ever since I was a little girl, learning about Indian mythology through Amar Chitra Katha comics, then reading the Norse myths and Greek Myths and Sumerian and more, I have had a deep deep love of the power of storytelling through mythology. I would even write my own stories as a child about the gods and goddesses from different cultures. ways to share lessons or explain the human condition through story. It’s yet another reason why being a part of Stray Gods has been so special to me – because I feel like these characters are old friends revisited, and their stories are being told now in a brand new way…a huge journey based in a simple “what if…?” moment.
Eager to hear what mythological traditions you have connected with over the years..and can’t wait for players to experience Medusa in a whole new light…and another…and another.

It’s so easy when we are hurting to look at people in love or people who have the kind of love we want in their lives and feel like their love is somehow proof of what we don’t have, or worse, won’t have. But time and time again life has shown me, both in my life and others’, that when we see the love around us as PROOF of what is POSSIBLE, the love inside us and around us blooms and grows and shows up in so many ways. So today, however you are feeling, whether you’re up or down, I hope you can look at the love around you as proof that love is for all of us, and that thinking we can’t have it is like a fish in the ocean thinking they can’t have water.
