1. 102 was directed by Megan Prazenica (@meganpraz). Andrew Farmer (@thatsajellyfish)’s script came in with a thousand surprise jokes, including Human Desk. In Meg’s launch she pitched “I thought the Human Desk could have a folder in one of the butts.” 🥰
2. I can’t believe Alfred Molina said yes to this show. He was in Frida!!! The Human Shih Tzu – a noble British servant whose entire job is to sit on important people’s feet – is a truly stupid idea I had for some SNL host that I didn’t end up writing because it seemed too embarrassing to explain to a famous person. We wanted to do something about Petey’s dad having a bunch of super specific staff that she would inherit, and it was a perfect spot for him. Design: Pat Kain (@batstains). 8. Andrew voices 60% of the characters in this episode. We met in theater school in 2006 and lord help us we were not cut out for experimental theater but we sure tried. One of our classes had a rule that we weren’t allowed to eat red meat or have sex with anyone for 24 hours before the class so we would be pure (???). All I wanted to do after graduation was to write TV with Andrew.
