Women in their 20s or 30s have probably heard “it’s time to settle down already” from a nosy relative every Diwali, Eid, Holi.. all too frequently. Most of my friends are either engaged, married, expecting children. It’s wild how comparison can weigh on us if we allow it to. Sometimes I fall into the trap and feel like I’m falling behind. I have SO much going for me, God has been too kind. Having been raised by extremely progressive parents, having a bigger purpose, ambition and practising self love all my life helps me shake this feeling off and I march on…wanting to make more movies/shows/online content/ travel the world. Nobody needs to be worried about my timeline but me. As a friend once told me “ as long as you’re breathing, don’t worry” ❤️ I got you. I hear you.
