I made reservations to see Beautifica last week. I read and watched great reviews and thought it’d be an interesting experience. Afterall who doesn’t love lights, right?!
Ok, for those of you who have not seen it, I’ll drop you some real comments from the 3 of us, afterall we are google local guides! 😉ready?
1- The music was great! Well done!
2- The projectors did not do a good job, they felt low resolution and blurry at times.
3- I thought the seats needed to recline more to be immersed in the show, my neck was hurting at some point and I closed my eyes in a meditative way, the music was better than the visuals.
4- Cagri and Ayza said the seats and their necks were fine…
5- 1 hour was too long for this show, this would be perfect for a 30 mins max in and out… even 15!
6- The structure of the dome was distracting, we could see the lines and bolts under the projected visual which disengaged us from the created reality.
Overall… it was an experience, I don’t think I would drive up to OMSI just for this, wait in a long line, unless I was already there….
The tickets were around $24 per adult and don’t forget the service fees.
This would be interesting for someone who has never seen such a show before. Working with projectors are tough! And the resolution, clarity is the key! And it is expensive…
