Ingrid Andress Instagram - 1 year ago I released my sophomore album, good person. this record was my catharsis from years of being in an unhealthy relationship with someone and allowing myself to feel every facet of that in depth. it was also a record that allowed me to express how it feels to be loved generously too for the very first time. the record stretched me emotionally (see above!) esp bc i was making the decision to share my experiences so publicly while actually being such a private person. it also challenged me as a songwriter and a producer in ways that I am unbelievably proud of (im so grateful to my co-pilot @samellismusic for his steadiness through the whole process of making this record). thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening to this record, for buying my album, for showing up to my shows, for sharing your own stories with me, and for giving me the one thing I crave most - connection. you are the most beautiful community of emotional human beings and I love you so much!! 🫶🏻

Ingrid Andress Instagram - i put together this playlist of my songs to explore share the different phases of a relationship that sadly led to the realization that we were no longer on the same page. if you know me already, you know I write my songs about real things that are happening in my life or are observations of how other people are living interacting with one another. ‘yearbook’ is my observation of many different marriages and relationships ive come across over the years - this song is me questioning why people stay together when they’re so unhappy and why we as a society put so much pressure on marriages working judgement on those that don’t. I know for some people this concept might be controversial but I really love learning the why about things and to have an open dialogue, so if you have an opinion or thought, I’d love to hear it 🖤
