Kether Donohue Instagram – Pure Joy tonight with @agelessaquarian 💚🙏🏼💃🏻
Kether Donohue Instagram – This Martin Luther King Day, I’m asking white folx to contribute funds towards @geniusisa.world’s cancer treatments as reparations.

Instead of looking at this as a charity, looking at this through a lens of reparations or mutual aid means contributing funds with the result of Isa’s thrival is mutually beneficial to society as a whole. And with all do respect, if you posted a black square last year but haven’t done anything since, this is an opportunity to put your support into action. #BlackLivesMatter is more than just posting a hashtag or a Martin Luther King quote or intellectually supporting; ACTION of a distribution of resources and money is needed to participate.

Reparations is a great way to show that #blacklivesmatter in action.

Also, I’ve been wanting to get this off my chest; I identify as Christian, and to white Christians who say, “pull yourself up by your bootstraps,” I respectfully say to you, nowhere in the Bible does it say to pull yourself up by your bootstraps! The Bible says to carry each others burdens. Martin Luther King rebuked the whole pull yourself up by your bootstraps argument all the time. So to honor MLK, his belief in reparations, if you’re a white person who posted a black square, marched, etc… but haven’t really done much else, I encourage you to participate in contributing to the thrival of Isa.

Also, my friend said something powerful that when a Black man dies, white people are quick to post a hashtag, but here’s an opportunity to support a young Black boy’s LIFE while he’s still here, and the truth is there’s been crickets and Isa has had a harder time raising funds for his treatments than white children cancer patients.

The fact that Isa’s mom has to pay $15,000 for treatment every week and doesn’t have it is wrong.

Thank you @freckledwhileblack for last slide. Me and Brea had a great live last year talking about reparations during #sharethemic and forever grateful to @weinspirejustice family.

So again, reparations is a great way to show that #blacklivesmatter in action and honor MLK today. Link in bio to contribute funds.
