As so many know, this film means so much to me and everyone involved in the creation of it. I am so excited for audiences in the US to see it. You will feel. You will get a glimpse into a Toronto story. A Scarborough story. A story about the love, pain, hardship and joy that so many immigrant families endure. August 4th!! Mark your calendars 🥰🙏🏽✨
Kiana Madeira Instagram – Man, I can’t wait to create on screen again. I am so grateful for our union and the way we are fighting for our rights. For our craft. It is necessary and I have so much faith that this fight will be worth it. I pray that audiences will never get tired of seeing humans on screen. I pray that we don’t settle for manufactured emotion. I pray that we may always be able to identify when the truth is being told. I pray that actors will be needed until the end of time. Because there is truly nothing like the feeling of sitting in a dark theatre and opening your heart as you see a version of yourself portrayed on screen. Another human. As we continue this strike & fight, my burning desire to get back on set and tell stories for you all is only getting greater. I cannot wait to experience what the future holds.
