I saw this in my saved drafts.. felt like today was a good day to post it-
Tu Jhoom is so much more than just a beautiful soul stirring song..
In it, is the philosophy and a way of life.
But when you watch these greats sing opposite each other.. there are lessons in that too. They seem to be doing what they are singing.
Abida Parveen.. the legend..whose been sprinkled by Gods dust.. is almost giving permission for another great singer to sing. Sing with all she has. While she sits and supports her. While she smiles as Naseebo’s voice soars.That is it. That is a great artist.
What is life if we don’t pay it forward? Whatever you have been blessed with.. use that, to bless others. Create the space for others to shine, for others to be celebrated. That’s greatness. That is submission to God in its truest sense.. that is to Jhoom..

There have been very few times when I have said yes to a project within minutes of hearing the concept. When Jahnoor called and told me her vision.. and that her Ama ( Rano) wanted me for it.. I knew I had to be a part of it. The old school nostalgia of Jeevay banrha.. the gorgeous pieces.. the concept of Kal, aaj aur Kal. ✨ @ranosheirloomsofficial 🌹
Once on set, felt like we were all one big family.. creating moments together on camera and otherwise. Thank you to everyone involved.. you guys have done a wonderful job. MashAllah.
