Punarnavi Bhupalam Instagram – We started our 8-day trip to Colorado through a statutory town located in Southwest Colorado at the headwaters of the Rio Grande River called Creede.
‘City of Creede’ is a historic silver mining town nestled in the heart of the San Juan Mountains. From the white settlers banishing Ute and Apache from their land to the rise and fall of silver mines in the 18th century. This mountain town has lived through all the possible drama.
While I was strolling through the town I found myself in a 45-year-old gallery of treasures called rare things and that’s where I met Jennifer J. Inge, a jeweller who doesn’t confine herself as just a jeweller but uses jewellery as one facet of her sculptural expression. Jennifer showed me a neckpiece she made with black horse hair, silver and amethyst. I was sold when I saw it and so I wore it upon the mountains every day. Hopefully one day I will pass this on to my next of kin.
Have you ever wondered what you will be leaving for your future generation? Creede, Colorado | Posted on 09/Jul/2023 12:28:27
