I share better options in in-person talks and trainings but not on posts like this for many reasons including the very reasons I talk about in the video: security and privacy.
Often organizations use Zoom as the default. If you have capacity to organize, push them to use an alternative. And also, understand there is often no choice at all but to use it. And in that case, consider turning off video, minimizing audio, chat.
There are many reasons why AI can be an incredible tool for accessibility, translation, image interpretation, and experiencing the world. It is when it is harvested like this that AI loses its potential good.
Zoom has time and time again shown they have deceitful practices. They have shown they don’t prioritize privacy or user security. Over and over and over.
