Serah D’Laine Instagram – Once upon a time, there was a person who had a series of different relationship challenges
The 1st challenge came with a long-term relationship with their first love. They thought they were happy, but eventually realized had grown apart broke up. This was the first time she/he/they had to confront their fear of being alone. But she/he/they met “Alex”, the explorer part of themself – as she/he/they let themselves explore new hobbies interests, she/he/they discovered a love for feeling more grounded confident.
The 2nd challenge came a few years later when she/he/they fell in love with someone who was emotionally unavailable. She/he/they found themselves compromising their own needs values in an effort to make the relationship work, but ultimately realized they were sacrificing too much of themselves.
The experience forced her/him/they to confront their codependency part learn how to set healthy boundaries. It was a painful lesson, but it ultimately she/he/they met “Sam”, the independent, self-sufficient part of themself.
The 3rd challenge came when Alex entered into a polyamorous relationship, which presented a whole new set of challenges. Feelings of jealousy insecurity learning to communicate more effectively trust their partner(s).
This experience forced her/him/they to confront their own insecure parts introduced her/him/them “Connie”, their greater self-confidence part.
The 4th and challenge came when she/he/they fell in love with someone from a different cultural background. This presented a whole new set of challenges, as they had to navigate differences in language, customs, and values. She/he/they had to meet “Dein” learn how to be more open-minded patient, work on developing a deeper understanding appreciation of different cultures.
Grateful, as she/he/they understands the true meaning of love. For without those challenges, she/he/they wouldn’t not have been forced to meet different versions of themself. She/he/they wouldn’t be who they ae today without loving all their parts.
