No matter how much they warn you, no one can prepare you for motherhood. It can sometimes feel like a marathon that just kinda keeps going, and moms are just expected to be so strong all the time. But y’all, you’re still just a person; sometimes you’re gonna make a mistake, and that is okay! The more we, as moms, strive for perfection, the more frustrated we become because it’s an unreachable goal. Keeping open lines of communication with my children is how I have cultivated a home that values honoring your feelings, talking it out, and problem-solving as a family, not perfection. This is for all the moms out there: You got this!

s’mores + milkshakes + bourbon = sweet summer bliss 🤤 Here is my take on this classic dessert that is sure to be a hit at your cookout! Would you try this recipe for your summer bbq?
S’mores bourbon milkshake recipe, serves 2
Milkshake:
4 ounces bourbon
3 cups vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 cups whole milk
6 tablespoons chocolate fudge sauce, divided
1 tsp vanilla extract, optional
Topping:
Whipped cream
Marshmallows
3 graham crackers, crushed
Reserve 2 small pieces for garnish
For Glass:
Spread 1 tbsp of chocolate sauce around each rim of glass. Dip into crushed graham crackers. Have glasses ready before mixing milkshake.
Place bourbon, ice cream, milk, 4 tbsps chocolate sauce and vanilla extract in a blender. Purée until combined, pour into glasses. Top with whipped cream.
Over a gas range, toast marshmallow until preference. Garnish with toasted marshmallow and graham cracker. Enjoy!
