Yasmine Aker Instagram – We are so excited, our film @okay_shortfilm has been selected for the LA Women in Film Festival 🤍✨ Our short film will be part of the SHORT film PROGRAM on Saturday, August 12 @2:30pm at the Let Live Theater.

Tickets are on sale and available at https://www.lafilmfestivals.com/tickets.

Online ticketing ends 1.5 hours before the first screening of the day. After that tickets will be available only at the door.

In solidarity with the SAGAFTRA and the WGA strikes, the LA Women in Film Festival will not be having any red carpet events or press. To be clear, the festival is not affiliated, sponsored or in any way associated with AMPTP.

Out of respect all networking or promotional opportunities will be cancelled. There will be no red carpets and both the opening and closing parties are canceled. All Q&As and panels have also been canceled.

They will still be screening all films and we are so honored to be selected at LA Women in Film Festival 🤍

More than 160,000 actors, recording artists, broadcast journalists, hosts, stunt performers and other media professionals with @sagaftra are now on strike.

We are joining the 11,000 Writers Guild of America members who have been striking for two months.

It’s the first time in more than six decades that writers and actors have been on strike at the same time.

Streaming has broken our industry and AI threatens the future of our livelihood.

The actors strike will shut down virtually all remaining film and TV projects that weren’t already stopped by the writers’ strike.
