Bill Nye Instagram – Went to City Hall this morning to advocate for preserving Weddington Golf & Tennis in my Los Angeles neighborhood. It is irreplaceable. The opposition is proposing replacing hundreds of 80+-year old trees with plastic turf and 500 underground parking spaces– non-permeable hardscape on the left bank of the LA River. More flooding. More debris and forever plastic into the River. Less open space for us. And thousands of cars every week. Once this paved over, once it’s gone, no one will be able to bring it back.
