David Thewlis Instagram – Death of England – Closing Time is the third instalment of an amazing trilogy, written by @clint_dyer_ and Roy Williams, directed by Clint. Saw it last night on only its third preview and it’s the best one yet. Astonishing performances from @hayzsquires and @msjomartin . Haven’t stopped thinking about it. Full disclosure: Clint is one of my oldest and dearest friends, but that doesn’t mean I can’t tell you he’s one of the most talented figures in today’s theatre. He and Roy have achieved something extraordinary with these three plays. I have never met Hayley or Jo, but I’m telling you these performances are outstanding. Honoured to have witnessed it.
