DeVon Franklin Instagram – As God would have it, a week ago I went to visit Brother Clavon, a man who was like a surrogate grandfather to me. Over the years he was one of my biggest supporters, always encouraging me to go further than I thought I could go as a man of God and a preacher. Last week, he was in the hospital after falling and he wasn’t doing well. Once I got into the room to see him, he started moving my excitedly, he could barely speak but yes his wife asked did he see me, he was able to say yes. I had no idea idea that within a few hours of that exchange that he would pass away 🕊️🥹 ✝️ Even though I know death is part of God’s plan, that knowledge doesn’t take away the emotional sting. When Brother Clavon was alive, whenever you ask him how he was doing, he’d always say “I’m living in the blessings!” — I’m in pain but at peace because we had a full and wonderful relationship. I will strive to “live in the blessings” every day. If there’s someone you need to make amends with, please do it today and don’t delay. We never know how much time is left on our clocks of life. Rest in Power Brother Clavon, see you again in the Earth made new 👊🏾💯☀️
