Sunflower Hill in Livermore recently celebrated their 10th anniversary. Their mission is to create places and spaces where adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities live, work, and thrive as part of our greater community. I had the privilege of joining one of their hands-on garden group classes where I was able to talk to residents, their families, and the program directors. Best wishes for another ten years of continued success.

Thank you to all the East Bay organizations who joined my office at Saturday’s Afghan Resource Fair in Union City. The East Bay is home to one of the largest Afghan populations in the country. I will continue to work to ensure that those who served alongside our armed forces have the resources they need when they begin to call our community home.

Last night was the final meeting of the 2022-2023 East Bay Congressional Youth Council. This group has spent the past year working directly with my office on issues of importance to young people. I look forward to the meaningful work they will continue to do in our communities.
