Erlend Øye Instagram – Matrimonio Di Ruggiero came out last week. Finally! It has been cooking for a while this song. It’s pretty much a cousin of La Prima Estate. The kind of song-writing that came with me moving to Siracusa and learning italian little by little. I was invited to a wedding in a small island in Sicily, but i had to got there without a date. Which was a shame as i knew it was going to be quite a magic weekend. So on the way there I am daydreaming….
I cant remember who helped me with the lyrics. Possibly Gigi Scialdone. (Comment if you are a forgotten helper! ) The artwork is by Roberto Longo aka @roberto_di_alicudi He has done such an incredible job. Painting on glass. He is one of the worlds remaining true artists. Nothing less. Graziemille! Facciamo un altro!
