Fiann Smithwick Instagram – The needle-sharp teeth of one of my best ichthyosaur fossils from the Jurassic Coast. This specimen was a juvenile when it died. Its teeth were perfectly adapted to catching slippery, fast moving prey like small fish and early relatives of squid. I’m sure it would have given me a good nip if I’d had my hand this close when it was alive!
