Fiann Smithwick Instagram – Sometimes fossils can be really hard to find, and other times they’re pretty obvious! I found this large ammonite on the Jurassic Coast recently just hanging out wedged between some rocks.

Based on how roughed up the fossil was, it must have been out of the cliffs and rolling around on the beach for some time. I’m amazed it didn’t break apart during that time as the weather was pretty stormy.
