They come on their own timetable, with their own unique personalities, strengths, and passions…
And we can’t “mold” them. Definitely can’t control them. And while we can try to set an example, at the end of the day…
All we can really do is steward them.
And their gifts. Protect them, nurture them, love them, teach them what we think we know… and let them curate what becomes theirs.
Because, for reasons I can’t prove and will never fully understand… they chose us. With all our faults and shortcomings and unanswered questions, they decided WE would be the perfect obstacle course and guardian of their soul’s evolution.
And all we can do… is the best we can do.
