7 years ago my wife and stumbled into a little chapel in Las Vegas . 7 years later we walked into that same little chapel and renewed our vows … my only regret on the night we got married was I never got to see her in a dress…. We made that right . I may have never gave my wife the wedding she truly deserved but I plan on giving her the life she deserves for the rest of it. I love you more anything mama bear. You are my anchor .

This tour started a few weeks ago and honestly I haven’t had much time to sit and collect my thoughts. So forgive me for this long post — I wanted to share this with you— When I was young there was an Amphitheater in Antioch called “Starwood”- I seen Lynyrd Skynyrd , Tool, Lollapalooza , Sheryl Crow, Weezer, the Eagles, R.E.M, No Doubt, 311 and MANY MORE at this amphitheater. We would go early and hang out in the parking lot with other fans while they grilled and pre gamed- we would slide down the mud on the hill of the Lawn when it would rain- we would party in the parking lot after the show while waiting for traffic to slow down. Some of my greatest childhood memories are on the lawn of that amphitheater. I would’ve never dreamed back then that I would one day be headlining these same amphitheaters around America . Every night I look out in the crowd and I remember music transforming my life in those same bleachers and lawns. This tour has been nothing short of UNREAL so far. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and get emotional on stage almost every night. Looking at out at 10s of THOUSANDS of people singing along and living in the moment. I get off stage every night feeling hopeful like I just left a good Sunday service on a backroad in Tennessee. I hope y’all are feeling the same when you leave the show as well. Thank y’all for making this tour what it has been so far….I do not take this for granted for a single second. PS – I don’t take selfies unless it’s for my wife — this was me very high and happy about my new hat and I sent it to mama bear- thought it was funny enough to post lol
Always spread love when we can- thank you to the Harp program at the Chesterfield County Jail in Virginia for allowing me to come share some songs with the men and women incarcerated- your program is what is needed in these jails more than anything.
Went to Wal mart today in the home of Wal mart and found redemption lol. This is awesome . I grew up dreaming of Wal mart having my music in it.
Went sliding down a mud hill in Detroit before the show – got tattooed and rocked 15k for the show -?/show 13/44 of the backroad baptism was sold out.
It is known as Country Musics biggest night. It literally doesn’t get any bigger than this and I have 5 nominations . I couldn’t control myself when I got the news .. everything about this is unreal. The truth is being nominated is already a win for me. Just being recognized by my peers and by the industry for the work we put in is amazing , especially for my people , this is a win for all the underdogs and forgotten . These are the moments I hope my people are the most proud of , that I have taken our message to the masses with out compromise and have been embraced . Thank you to CMA’s . This is magical and you can bet the farm that my wife and I will show up dressed to impress yet trashy as ever – see y’all November 8th.
