Jeremy Jones Instagram – @robbgaffney has left us too early but in many ways his work here was complete. Watching Robb battle cancer with grace, humility and courage was even more impressive than all the amazing lines he skied while becoming a doctor. This is a photo from my last time seeing him on snow. We were deep in the backcountry when @stateofthebackcountry and I ran into him and his dog. He was so happy and alive even though he was battling for his life. I still remember him dropping deeper into the backcountry making beautiful turns with his dog in tow. . He would end up doing over 9,000 vert this day. None of us get out here alive. Think of Robb when you don’t think you can hike any further, don’t want to wake up early for a dawn patrol or jump into that cold mountain lake and “send while you can!” Mount Tallac
