John Heilemann Instagram – You may have read in the @nytimes yesterday that the @a24 4K IMAX restoration/remastering/rerelease of Stop Making Sense is “staggering,” “exhilarating,” “jaw-dropping” … and that viewing the film in this mega-format is “like seeing it anew.” As someone who’s watched SMS dozens upon dozens of times in the 40 years since it was shot, I’m here to tell you: Every word of that is true. You may also have read that, at the world premiere at @tiff_net on Monday, all four members of @talkingheadsofficial took the stage together for the first time in 20-plus years for a chat with @officialspikelee. Also true. What the Times didn’t say is that the band is convening onstage *again* tonight at @bam_brooklyn for the NYC premiere, where they’ll be interviewed by … yours truly.
