Macklemore Instagram – The BEN tour headed north to meet our brothers and sisters in the great land of Toronto Canada. I got destroyed on multiple golf courses, went digging for vintage on Kensington Street, hit A&W for that fresh out the tap Root Beer in a frosty Canadian mug, got beautifully lost on a solo hike and of course got to perform. After a couple days off and some time to reflect I felt a new energy on stage last night. My goal in performing isn’t to be perfect, but human. To get out of my own way, unattached to the grid that a live set can turn into. I want to try new songs, make mistakes, call audibles, show up maskless and allow the moment to unfold how it’s suppose to. I want to revel in the idea that I get to play music, a living breathing entity that has its own life in whatever moment it exists in. Last night I felt that. Thank you Toronto for showing out and allowing me the space to be me. I won’t forget that one. Toronto, Ontario

Macklemore Instagram – I love Philly. Always have. The brick that adorns the city, the white awning on the porches, the overgrown grass that makes its way out of the cement in unconventional place. I love the rawness, the untamed honesty of the people, the music that has come out of Philly. I love Cheesesteaks, South Street, Mitchell And Ness, the mom and pop gold shops with neon sides from forgotten era’s. And I loved this show.
