Sad to hear of the passing of “Parky”
Lovely man, always very kind to me with advice on interviewing as we sat around various boundaries and there wasn’t anyone better at the job. Loved his cricket and raised an enormous amount for charities with his matches. This one was in Bray, here having a chat with the lovely Robert Powell and Parky (who wasn’t well that day) still turning out because it was cricket and it was important for the charity

So me and the boy went shrimping – my uncle Jack taught me how to do it when I was the age my youngest is now.
That was Hastings 50 years ago – this is Cornwall
I’m grateful for the chance to spend some quality time with him between travelling so much for work.
If I could, I’d stop, buy a cottage by a beach and do this every day with him
