Spencer Paysinger Instagram – The Duke: Factory to Field Full circle moment— In 2011 after making the @Giants roster as a rookie, Coach Quinn asked a rookie to research why “The Duke” is on every @NFL football in the league. Later that week, every new Giants player was introduced to the story of Giants owner, Wellington Mara, and his contributions to the game that lead to the NFL honoring him by placing his nickname on the ball. Fast forward to 2021, months after celebrating our #SBXLVI anniversary. As a member of the @Wilson Athlete Advisory Board, Wilson wanted to highlight The Duke for their #SBLVI campaign and tapped me and @danemorck to develop the concept. A big undertaking for two guys building their @welcometomoorest production company but I cannot thank Wilson enough for trusting us with this project. There have been concepts about The Duke before so we wanted to lean in a different direction. It is my hope that this doc highlights the craftsmanship that goes into The Duke but more importantly, the dedicated people in Ada,OH who design, lace, cut, stitch, mold, and turn The Duke into the legend it is today.
