Zachary Levi Instagram – Two bum knees. That’s what he had. After years and years of throwing himself headlong into theater, dancing, pratfalling, entertaining with every ounce of his being, and sacrificing his body for the audience’s pleasure, his legs were barely hangin on. But despite the constant pain and discomfort he was in, you would never hear him complain. You would never feel him hold back or half ass anything in his track. There he was, every day, with a smile on his face and a genuine warmth is his heart that would ease your spirit and calm your nerves. I know it did mine. I only got to spend about 6 months of my life in his orbit, but I’m so grateful that I did. I had a lot of fears jumping into She Loves Me. I was still very green when it came to Broadway, and was stepping into a role in a production surrounded by multiple Tony Award winners, including Mike himself. And he so selflessly and effortlessly took me under his wing and helped me feel welcome. Helped me feel like I belonged there, sharing that stage, enjoying the journey. He was my Sipos, and I was his Georg, and for that I will be eternally grateful. Two bum knees, a heart the size of Texas, and talent oozing from every pore of his being.
