Elected officials arguing the need for more guns while news was breaking about the active shooter at UNC. Elected officials who have turned their backs on a community deep in pain from it’s own mass school shooting earlier this year. Thank you to those elected officials who continue to fight for common sense gun laws. Thank you to those same elected officials who walked out today to stand with the community members present and make clear that the continued fascist practices of Speaker Sexton will not be tolerated. I’d get some sleep tonight but I just received word that my child’s school is participating in lockdown drills tomorrow. We don’t have to live like this. #commonsensegunlaws #itstheguns
