A tightly knit story about Odisha which we never knew about. With the absolute brilliance of Nila Madhab Panda’s (@n_madhabpanda )direction, you can feel the true Cli-fi throughout, as an underlying presence.
Starting off as a normal thriller with a premise of tribal-naxals, the way it grisps gradually and apparently turning towards it’s destination about the mining and essentially the JENGABURU CURSE, which is on us for real!!
For a long you may keep asking yourself, what the curse is about, until the end justifies every word the show tries to tell you. The cinematic brilliance through the lenses, the way both the urban and the rural Odisha has been captured, it makes you fall in love with this not-so-talked about state.
An absolute clean and crisp performance from Faria Abdullah (@fariaabdullah ), probably her carrier best, making us look through her eyes, about all the dirt and dirty world which navigates around her.
The tribal references make it more gritty and the background score by Aloknanda Dasgupta also becomes another reason of getting glued to this poignant tale.
Starting with the show, you may feel little confused, of where all this is heading towards. But after the whole premise is set, it’s a cakewalk to enjoy with a nail biting screenplay. Although it never makes you feel comfortable, rather you might also want to take short breaks to even digest what a whole lump of naked truth that you’ve seen.
Talking about negatives, people who love fast paced thriller kinda may not enjoy the show. Well, it tests your patience and it’s all worth it at the end.
In a nutshell, Nila Madhab Panda has truly shown the imagery what he intended to and it’s a another true masterpiece content smashing from Sony LIV.
