Florence Pugh Instagram – I know I’m always late at posting.. but I’m sharing a love fest as this was truly such a special evening and a wonderful way to congratulate and cheers to magic people being magical. @elleuk and @tiffanyandco thank you for hosting and sponsoring such an evening and for giving the stage and the opportunity to all those you awarded. I had the pleasure of having one of the worlds most thrilling and exciting creators give me my award. I also get to call him a friend. Which is mind boggling. @harris_reed you are MY icon and I’m incredibly lucky I get to love you and collaborate with you and grow in this funny industry with you AND hear you say all those beautiful things on that stage. Well done to all the winners, what a lovely event!
Florence Pugh Instagram – To be given not only a cover but awarded ‘The British Icon’ by Elle Style Awards was not how I expected my summer to end. It was a piece I was really able to reflect and appreciate all those that had pushed me forward, protected, supported, followed, encouraged to get me to where I am now and to be able to be who I am now. I was thrilled to have @jodiesmith interview me, where we discussed it all. Where she was being not only full interviewer at work on zoom but also full mum at work at the same time. Another reason why I’m not surprised I bow down to her and her greatness so easily! To the crew that filled the studio with humour and light during that shoot at a very strange time for all, thank you. The strikes have been important but hard on not only those who it is for, but all who are affected around it. Thank you for talking and sharing and laughing on that day. It was a fulfilling day during a weird time and I thoroughly appreciated you all. Big love and shout out to @dannykasirye, a photographer who I can only hope of working with again and again. He just.. got me. And it. And yeah, he’s fucking fab. Thank you team! You were incredible.
