It’s a place I have always fondly visited for many years. I love reflecting on the days when we used to shoot here all the time.
So many great memories.
It was also so much quieter then ;))
This cover was from 28 years ago, a crazy idea half a lifetime ago!
But I can honestly say that I feel better now than I did then.
Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t mind some perks of being much younger, but I’m fully okay with where I am today.
There are some little changes in my body that are at times hard to accept, but when you do accept them, they just fall away
and then …
another one shows up, and you have to accept that too. Like saggy skin on my elbows. I was in a yoga class yesterday and suddenly noticed this funny-looking skin, it was shocking to see it on myself, my skin hanging differently. Oh well, that’s life.
Lauren Hutton once said to me that when we first met, I had told her she reminded me of my mom. She didn’t take it so well then, but for me, it was the biggest compliment I could give her. She said that was a time when she was struggling with getting older, but with a beautiful smirk, she said she’s so past that stage and would totally be able to see it as a compliment and embrace that moment. Of course, easier said than done.
Each phase of life is filled with new challenges, yet finding acceptance is the key.
