India de Beaufort Instagram – Best of Snapshots. I have very little experience with theatre, but the little experience I’ve had has been some of the most fizzing in your heart, electricity from your fingers, soul igniting, wrapped in a glow and hardwired to the magic of shared air type shit I’ve ever felt in my life. You rehearse and rehearse and then you chuckle with friends on a rooftop and tiptoe around props and energized bodies in the wings and follow the flow of a new third scene partner every night and live for what feels like less than a minute where everything exists and then nothing at all, and your friends ask “how’d it go?” and all you remember is the amber light, the unpredictability of the warmth in the dark and your scene partner ( especially when they’re a stud muffin like mine ) and that’s it, that’s what you have, the memory. No tape. No link. No way to criticize yourself or pick apart your choices, you literally live for the moment and it’s cleansing and liberating and charging and VIBRANT. Take me back a thousand times.
