Jenna Fischer Instagram – Shoulder Update! 5 months post break.
The good news: moving to physical therapy one day a week! (Partly because I’m ready and partly because my insurance won’t pay for twice a week. Don’t get me started.) More good news: sleeping in bed again!!! Woot! Giving back the medical recliner next week! Can do bicep curls with 5 pound weights. Way less pain overall.
Still working on: Range of motion. Can’t put hair in a ponytail. Can’t raise arm above my head or put my arm behind my back. Still can’t hold/pour a full pot of coffee (but I can do a half pot).
So, baby steps. It is estimated it will take me up to a year from my injury date to have full range of motion back. That’s just how it goes with shoulders. I daydream about doing my full yoga class again. Especially that pose where you link your hands behind your back and then bend forward and your arms go over your head. You know the one?
