Julia Samantha Edima Instagram – WORLD SUICIDE DAY Nearly 800,000 people commit suicide each year. It ´s a complex and still taboo mental health phenomenon in Cameroon. Today, September 10, as every year, we celebrate World Suicide Day. It would be good if we often devoted ourselves to this question in the name of humanity. As a prelude to this day, I had the opportunity yesterday to join the Cameroonian Association for the Prevention and Fight against Suicide for an awareness march in the city of Yaoundé. Suicid is the act of deliberately killing oneself dead. Suicidal thoughts are a signal alarm . They arise when suffering has become too big and the person can’t reduce it with the means italready knows. The factors can be various: Trauma, bereavement, a crisis situation, job loss or financial difficulties, depression, etc. We shouldn’t judge anyone, because not everyone has the capacity to bear certain pains, everyone has a level of sensitivity.
