It’s taken me a while to post about this show because i fully needed a moment to digest it find the words. it always feels like a little miracle when people enjoy my music; there’s an intimacy to it, something that brings us closer to each other. When those moments happen, i savour them like delicious little treats. This show was something else entirely; it was Pure Connection, a Banquet. it’s so rare to perform in a room filled with so many Irani ppl and farsi-zaban ppl, and an altogether head-busting soul-feeding experience to sing a Googoosh song and watch as everyone lay their hands on their chests, closed their eyes, swayed, and sang along with me. i’ll never forget it‼️ thank you to @mehmooni.london @milaadrajai @__ronisa__ for a sick night of togetherness – it’s so needed, now more than ever. a HUGE thank you @havacarvajal for being the homieeee and for always being game to make my craziest ideas come true. I’m in constant awe of your incredible musical instinct. the warmest most effervescent scream to everyone who came and enjoyed and spoke to me afterwards and tyyyyy 4 all your kindness and generosity!!!! endless endless love 4 you all 🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤 ❤️ the 10th slide is a symbol for how completely this night spun me out (positive implication) 🫡‼️💥

Last week @apranikrecords released their new compilation ‘Intended Consequence’ and i’m beyond proud to have contributed my track ‘Empty Platform’ to this incredible album. It features 10 tracks by a sick group of Irani women non binary musicians/producers!! 🖤😤 It’s such an honour to be included among these powerful talents across such a wide variety of genres. The album ranges from experimental to DnB, ambient, breaks, techno and more, so go run it up!!! 🏃🏻♀️🎧 The compilation is out on Bandcamp so pls pls go and support; all profits are donated and used to assist women and marginalised communities in Iran. If you want to stream, it’s also available on Soundcloud and Spotify and all platforms!(linkin biooooo) 🖤 A colossal thank you to @nesaazadikhah and @aida.dj__ for asking me to be part of this project, but a bigger thank you for the creation of @apranikrecords itself. it’s a beautiful thing to see such support for our community from our community.
