Leah Remini Instagram – On International Women’s Day, I wanted to bring attention to the women of Iran and Afghanistan. In Iran, months after the murder of Mahsa Zhina Amini, Iranians continue to fight for their freedom. But misogynistic forces, mainly in the Islamic Republic government, continue to suppress the voices of Iranians, especially women, and girls. The outbreak of poisonings in girls’ schools across Iran has made me sick. Please read the article I’ve linked in my stories to learn more. Unfortunately, this criminal tragedy isn’t being discussed enough.

In Afghanistan, since the Taliban took over again, the status of women and girls concerning their human rights has declined dramatically. According to the UN, Afghanistan is now the most repressive country for women and girls. The women and girls of Afghanistan feel abandoned by the world.
